It’s already been a while since we got back from Myanmar. Our emergency response team was there from April 17-21 to help those affected by the earthquake that happened there last March.
I am deeply grateful to HappyStereo and all of you who have supported us. You guys have made it possible for us to get there and do something about other people’s pain. It’s such a lovely thing. Thank you.
Our trip was not only considered one of the immediate response projects that aided the country, but also the first of many projects to follow. Global Aid Network will continue doing projects there long-term to help the people in Myanmar to rehabilitate and rebuild. If you want to learn more about that, I know they post updates on their platforms online.
There’s so much suffering happening outside our day to day lives, in worlds far away. We hardly think about those strangers whose families struggle due to lack of food, shelter, or emotional/mental support. And yet, they deserve relief and care as much as anyone else we personally care about.
I was able to work alongside our local partners who have also suffered due to the earthquake. These wonderful Burmese people have been caring for their fellow countrymen ceaselessly. The civil war that has been happening over there is still going on now, and while we were there they had expressed deep appreciation of our team’s mere presence. Simply showing up in their time of need, and bringing in relief goods were something I saw greatly lifted their spirits. They have felt seen and loved because of what we were able to do together.
Thank you again for helping the people of Myanmar. You’ve contributed more than you know!
